Hyatt enlisted FSG to upgrade the lighting in the Inner Harbor garage in Baltimore, aiming to enhance safety while cutting energy costs. A well-lit parking garage is essential for guest security and convenience, and Hyatt sought a solution that would deliver both improved illumination and long-term savings.

Solution

FSG replaced 209 outdated 175W metal halide fixtures with high-efficiency 43W LED fixtures, reducing energy consumption by 75%. Additionally, 400W metal halide rooftop fixtures were upgraded to 137W LED units. Beyond the immediate cost savings, the switch to LEDs extended fixture lifespan from 10,000 to over 100,000 hours, significantly lowering future maintenance expenses.
