Powering World-Class Cardiovascular Care: FSG’s Electrical Expertise at HCA Heart & Vascular Hospital

Challenge

HCA set out to create a world-class cardiovascular facility in the heart of the Clear Lake region, offering advanced heart care services in a convenient location. The six-level, 227,500-square-foot hospital was designed to support a full spectrum of cardiovascular treatments, including heart surgery, coronary interventions, and specialized patient care. To bring this vision to life, DPR Construction partnered with FSG to handle the full-service electrical construction for the state-of-the-art facility.

Solution

FSG’s role encompassed the installation of critical power systems, lighting, and infrastructure for the hospital’s 59 patient rooms, 15 intensive care units, 8 cardiovascular ICU rooms, 3 cardiovascular operating rooms, and 4 cardiac cath labs. One of the key challenges involved upgrading the existing Nuclear Medicine unit while ensuring uninterrupted service for hospital staff and patients. FSG worked strategically to relocate staff and maintain essential connectivity, allowing daily operations to continue seamlessly throughout the construction process.
