Challenge
The American Airlines Center in Dallas sought a solution to improve its aging parking garage lighting, which had become a maintenance challenge and provided subpar illumination. The existing high-pressure sodium and metal halide fixtures were unreliable and inefficient, creating a poor first impression for visitors. AAC management wanted a long-term lighting upgrade that would enhance visibility, reduce maintenance, and elevate the overall aesthetic.Solution
FSG recommended and installed Cree IG-series LED Parking Structure luminaires, known for their superior light quality and efficiency. After a successful trial run, AAC management quickly approved a full-scale replacement, allowing FSG to retrofit the entire parking garage with 782 new LED fixtures. The project was executed efficiently, minimizing disruption while ensuring a seamless transition to the upgraded lighting system.Result
The result is a brighter, more welcoming environment for visitors, with uniform illumination that eliminates dark spots and the "cave effect" common in older lighting setups.
