Challenge
CEC International partnered with FSG to implement energy-saving upgrades at the Bo Robinson correctional facility in Trenton, New Jersey. With over 900 occupants, the facility required thoughtful design and careful execution to ensure both operational efficiency and long-term savings. FSG was selected for our proven experience in lighting retrofits, energy audits, and integrated system improvements.Solution
FSG began by conducting a detailed energy audit, which formed the foundation for a tailored retrofit plan. The solution included the replacement of more than 1,070 interior and exterior fixtures with high-efficiency T8 electronic lighting and advanced induction lighting. These lighting upgrades were designed not only to reduce consumption but also to enhance visibility and safety across the facility.Result
In addition to lighting, the project included the replacement of over 107 tons of HVAC equipment and the integration of new refrigeration controls.
